Assistive listening device’s ( also referred to as an ALD) is any device that can help you function better in your everyday communication situations. An ALD does not require that you wear a hearing aid in order overcome the hearing difficulty of distance, background noise, or poor room acoustics. IF you do wear a hearing aid an ALD can offer even greater ease of hearing (and therefore reduced stress and fatigue) in many of your everyday communication situations.
